The Valmeyer Fall Church Picnic is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 16, sponsored by St. John United Church of Christ and St. Mary Catholic Church. There will be tons of good food, quilt bingo, silent auction, carry-outs, raffles, attendance prizes and music all day. In addition, the Monroe City School House Museum is hosting an open house and 100th birthday party for its building now located across from the Valmeyer school facility starting at noon. Grab some food and refreshments at the picnic, travel across town to the school house for a quick tour, and go back to the church picnic for more fun!
