Co-hosted by Salt Lick Point Stewardship, the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, Kaskaskia Valley Audubon Society, and Clifftop, a Spring Wildflower Walk takes place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 13 at the Salt Lick Point Land & Water Reserve near Valmeyer.

Meet at the parking lot at 1309 Limestone Lane in Valmeyer. An expert will lead a group hike along the flat and easy Johnson Trail to view spring wildflowers. 

You may walk the trail at your leisure, stopping at interpretive stations where guides will point out the plants in bloom. 

This event is free and open to the public.
