Military Heritage Day | Waterloo

June 10, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

Military Heritage Day takes place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 10, on the Monroe County Courthouse grounds in downtown Waterloo.

In honor of the Illinois Bicentennial, Military Heritage Day will highlight the U.S. Armed Forces with a military vehicle car show, several demonstrations and reenactments from living history groups, live music and performances and activities for children.

The event will kick off with a flag raising ceremony by the Scott Air Force Base Color Guard. Highlights of the day will include three USO show reenactments hosted by professional Bob Hope impersonator William Johnson and featuring performances by Monroe County Arts Alliance members.

There will also be a special performance by the Starlifter Rock Band Ensemble of the Band of Mid-America, as well as a patriotic Waterloo Municipal Band Concert, a “Climb for PTSD” rock climbing wall, BB gun shooting range, military style obstacle course, local food vendors and more.
