Genealogical Society Meeting | Morrison-Talbott Library

The Monroe County Genealogical Society hosts its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Morrison-Talbott Library in Waterloo.

Sarah Cato, a descendant of William Merriman, who was an early enslaved settler in Illinois, will present “The Early Days and Years of Illinois.” She will present research on the history and chronology of Illinois in the state’s Bicentennial year. 

She is a member of the Monroe County Genealogical Society,  Association of African Ancestored Researchers and St. Clair County Genealogical Society.
