Come learn about solar power, how it works, how Illinois is encouraging the growth of solar power, and how you can save money on your utility bills while working to protect the environment. Grow Solar Metro East, led by the non-profit Midwest Renewable Energy Association in partnership with Metro East municipalities, provides these free, no-obligation educational events that also explain how you can take advantage of several incentives and a group purchase program to make solar power a smart investment.

Monroe County Residents and businesses are invited to attend two free Solar Power Hours at Westpark Bowl,1101 Valmayer Road, Columbia on Wednesday, 24 July or Thursday, 15 August. Both events are at 6:00 pm.
