Esther W. Boehne

Esther W. Boehne (nee Studt), 96, of Waterloo, died June 27, 2015, in Waterloo.

She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in DeWitt County, daughter of the late Martin and Wilhelmine Studt (nee Boehne).

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Wartburg and Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her children Bernell Buettner and Gerald (Cynthia) Boehne; grandchildren Lyla Clark, Dale (Leslie) Buettner, Carla (Matt) Carter, Melissa (Billy) Pind, and Ashley (Walter) Jackson; great-grandchildren Darren Clark, William and Ryan Carter, Cadence and Karsen Pind, and Mackenzie, Kaylin, Callie Mae and Colette Jackson; great-great grandchild Sierra Clark; brother Elijah Summers; and sister-in-law Marcella Boehne; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond G. Boehne, son-in-law Donald L. Buettner, grandchild Lynn Buettner in infancy, and brothers and sisters.

Visitation was June 28. at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo; and June 29, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wartburg.

Funeral services were June 29, at the church, Pastor Daniel Ostlund officiating.

Interment followed at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Wartburg.

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
