Eric Graham “Bubba” Baker, 48, of Waterloo, died May 30, 2016, in Waterloo.

He was born Jan. 26, 1968, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late Jack L. and Betty Baker (nee Graham).

Eric was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1334, Monroe County Historical Society, Waterloo Planning Commission, the unofficial McDonald’s Coffee Club and the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He was a former franchise owner of Waterloo Dairy Queen, was a Waterloo football coach for more than 12 years, and was a former alderman. He was also a member of the state champion AJ Wildcats football team in 1984 and AOPA Flight Club.

He is survived by his children Madison and Graham Baker; the mother of his children, Kerry Baker; sister Jama Wolf; nephews and niece Jake, Whitney and Conway Wolf, and Ben and Nick Wolf; grandmother Jean Graham; Madison and Graham’s grandparents Terry and Judy Schreder; uncle Rolla (Jo) Baker; special cousin Judy Stegle; and cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandfather Doyle Graham, grandparents Effie and Rolla Baker, and special aunt Wilma Morris.

Visitation will be June 2, from 2 to 8 p.m.; and June 3, from 8 to 8:30 a.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated June 3, at 9 a.m., at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Interment will follow at An additional visitation will be June 3, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home, Jonesboro.

A graveside service at Jonesboro Cemetery, Jonesboro, will immediately follow the visitation at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to the Madison & Graham Baker Education Fund.
