Edward C. Braun, 69, of New Athens, died May 12, 2014 in Belleville.

He was born May 30, 1944, son of the late William F. and Lucille T. (nee Lake) Braun.

Mr. Braun was a member of Midwest Truckers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Braun; children Janet (Joe) Gregson and Tim (Elizabeth) Braun; grandchildren Toby, Brianne and Sebastian; brothers Bill (Janet) Braun, Paul (Sharon) Braun, Steve Braun and Allan (Joyce) Braun; sisters-in-law Barbara (Melvin) Parker and Rita (James) Tyberendt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Bauer and sister-in-law Catherine Braun.

Visitation will take place at Quernheim Funeral Home from 3 to 8 p.m. May 15 and 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. May 16.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. May 16 at St. Augustine Church in Hecker.

Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Hecker.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
