Dorothy B. “Dottie” Dodge

Dorothy B. “Dottie” Dodge (nee Bodenbach), 98, of Waterloo died June 14, 2018, in Waterloo.

She was born June 28, 1919, in Red Bud, daughter of the late August and Sylvia Bodenbach (nee Quernheim).

She married Gardner A. Dodge, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo, the American Red Cross and Morrison-Talbot Library.

Dottie is survived by her son David Dodge; daughter-in-law Catherine Dodge; grandchildren Kimberley Bauer (Scott Briggs), Christina (Gavin) Hayes, Andrew (Leah) Dodge, and Matthew (Samantha) Dodge; and great-grandchildren Sylvia, Aubrey, Jordan, Eli, Emma, Caylee and Brody.

She is preceded in death by her husband; children James “Jim” Dodge, Kay Dodge Bauer; her parents; and sister Florence B. Thomas.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. June 22, St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo, Pastor Michael Southcombe officiating.

Internment will follow at Malta Cemetery, Malta, at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo.
