Donald G. Mantz Jr. | Obituary

Donald G. Mantz Jr., 63, of Dupo, died Oct. 4, 2012, in St. Louis.

He was the son of Donald G. Sr. and Ellen Mantz (nee Sindel).

He was married to Susan Mantz (nee McClenahan); she survives him.

Mr. Mantz worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Local 169, and Monroe County Ducks Unlimited. He was a legion baseball coach for more than 20 years, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his parents; wife; sons Dal (Christine) Mantz of Fenton, Mo., and Daren Mantz of Dupo; grandchildren Ella, Oliver, Emerson and River; mother-in-law Darlia McDaniel; sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Dave Struense; brother-in-law Colin McClenahan; and sister-in-law Jennifer Mills; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation was Oct. 8, at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home.

A memorial service was Oct. 8, at the funeral home, Rev. Tim Matthews officiating.

Per Mr. Mantz’s request, he was cremated.

Memorials may be made to Monroe County Ducks Unlimited, or Fern and Russell De Greef Hospice House.
