Darleen Mae Wills | Obituary

Darleen Mae Wills, 96, of Beecher City, died Aug. 17, 2016, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.

She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Tower Hill, daughter of the late James and Ida Sillars (nee Campbell).

She married Kirt J. Wills on Oct. 17, 1942; he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2005.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her time gardening, sewing, cooking and woodworking with Kirt. She was a member of Greenland Baptist Church.

Darleen is survived by daughter Linda (Steve) Serges ketter of Waterloo; grandchildren Dawn Wills of Beecher City and Chad McKinnon Sr. of Dupo; great-grandchildren Jasmine McKinnon, Summer McKinnon and Chad McKinnon Jr., all of Dupo; and sister-in-law Donna Wills of Beecher City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Tana McKinnon, brother Jim Sillars and sister Kathleen Glick.

Visitation and funeral services were Aug. 20, at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City, Pastor Robert Shaw officiating.

Interment followed at Bob Doane Cemetery.
