D. Michael Francois

D. Michael Francois, 60, of Waterloo, died Sept. 11, 2012, in St. Louis.

He was born June 28, 1952, in Carbondale, son of Donald (Terry) Francois and Elizabeth Stevens.

He was married to Marge Francois (nee Kellerman).

Mr. Francois was a member of the Knights of Columbus #1334, Waterloo Municipal Band, Bud Light Brigade, Waterloo Lions Club, Metro East 700 Club, Monday Night Boosters, Thursday Night Men’s League, and was employed at Scott Air Force Base.

He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his parents;  wife; children Melanie Steiling and Jay Francois; grandsons T.J. and Tristan Steiling; and brothers and sisters Ron (Linda) Francois, Mary (Dan) Deweese, Pam Honea, Gary Loucks, Terry Loucks, Bruce (Tina) Loucks and Jimmie Fullerton; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was Sept. 14-15, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 15, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Waterloo.
