He was welcomed to the world by brother Charles Thomas Gipson, 1.

His maternal grandparents are John and Brenda Shrewsbury.

Paternal grandparents are Charles and Patricia Gipson.

Great-grandparents are Ruby Shrewsbury, Hazel Hayman and Homer Gipson.
