It took until the second quarter of Friday night’s football game for Columbia to get into its groove. It was all a breeze after that.

The Eagles (4-1, 3-0) didn’t score on Carlyle (3-2, 2-2) until 14.5 minutes into the game, when Columbia’s Charles Farris, once again, put together an impressive game by scoring the first of two touchdowns for the Eagles at home on Friday.

By the end of the second half, Farris had 12 carries for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Carlyle only had 52 total offensive yards after the second quarter.

Columbia would go on to blank the Indians, 42-0.
