Carolyn H. Kaestner (nee Voges), 80, of Red Bud, died Jan. 30, 2016, in Red Bud.

She was born June 26, 1935, in Red Bud, daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Voges (nee Hecke).

She married Robert Kaestner May 28, 1955, at St. Peter Church, Red Bud; he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2010.

Carolyn was member of St. Peter United Church of Christ and the St. Peter UCC Women’s Guild. She worked as a secretary at St. Clement Hospital for many years.

Survivors include her sisters Bernice Smith of Red Bud, Darline Hayes of Red Bud, Marie Bertram of Red Bud and Dorothy (Stanley) Laurent of Waterloo; and brother- and sister-in-law Fred and Shirley Kaestner of St. Louis. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Floyd, Carl, Leroy and Robert Voges.

Visitation and funeral services were Feb. 3, at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Red Bud, Rev. Lisa Hart officiating.

Interment followed at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud.

Arrangements were handled by Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud.
