Bobby L. “Bud” West | Obituary

Bobby L. “Bud” West, 79, of Waterloo, died Jan. 30, 2015 in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born July 31, 1935, son of the late Estes and Maudie West, nee Ahlheim.

He was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church PCA in Waterloo, Deacon of Church, WHS Hall of Fame member, retired from Boeing Aircraft Company, US Army Veteran, avid hunter, and loved sports and woodworking.

Mr. West is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice E. West, nee Wiegand; children Lance (Ellen) West, Shawn (Dan) Kennedy, Jennifer (Dennis) Bullock; grandchildren Dustin West, Lindsey West (JP Fitzgibbons), Tara Kennedy, Brendan Kennedy, Katelyn Wilson, Gabriel Bullock, Ethan Bullock, and Jessica Wilson; brothers Cleon (Alice) West and William “Bill” (Sandi) West; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Marvin and Mary Wiegand and Robert Wiegand; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation took place Feb. 1 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo and Feb. 2 at Concord Presbyterian Church PCA in Waterloo.

A funeral service took place Feb. 2 at the church.

Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
