Arland Nottmeier

Arland “Arlie” Nottmeier, 79, of Bowling Green, Ky, died Aug. 20, 2015.

He was the son of Armin and Bertha Nottmeier, born in Renault and baptized in Valmeyer.

Arland was the loving husband of Joan H. Nottmeier; he passed away in Atlantic Beach, Fla., while visiting his son.

Arland served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, and worked at Anheuser-Busch for 24 years, retiring in 1993. He loved the outdoors, whether fishing, golfing or hunting.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; two sons, Eric and Alex; daughters-in-law Jennifer and Tracy, four grandchildren, Reese, Sloan, Turner and Hudson; and a sister, Sharon.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m., at Christ United Church of Christ, 200 S. 3rd St., Dupo.

A celebration of life service in Bowling Green, Ky., will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ United Church of Christ.
