Ann Elizabeth Henkey-Lane | Obituary

Ann Elizabeth Henkey-Lane, 41, of Columbia died Aug. 26, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis, having received the last rites of the Catholic Church on Aug. 12, 2016.

She was born June 12, 1975, in Belleville, daughter of Edward C. and Janet Henkey (nee Reed).

She was united in marriage to Chad Lane Feb. 7, 2009, in Columbia.

Ann was an interior decorator and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia.

Ann leaves behind her husband; her children, Alyssa Lane of Mokena, and Kevin Lane at home; her parents; her brother, Edward B. Henkey; her sister, Joy (C.J.) Schlemmer; her nephew, Alex Schlemmer, all of Columbia; her brothers-in-law, Darrel (Paula) Lane of California, Michael Lane and Cory Lane, both of Ohio; her sister-in-law, Dawn Lane-Baker of California; her very special friend, Dennis Tate of Columbia; and many other nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Edward L. and Stella Henkey; her maternal grandparents, Harry and Helen Reed; her uncles, Don Reed and Ron Henkey; and her mother-in-law, Sandra Lane.

A celebration of life for Ann will be held at a later date.

Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, is assisting the family.
