Alois A. Rohlfing

Alois A. Rohlfing, 89, of Fults, died July 11, 2015, in Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Harrisonville, son of the late Albert H. and Emma K. Rohlfing (nee Rippelmeyer).

Alois was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Maeystown, Monroe County Farm Bureau, Monroe County ASC (past president), MonClair Grain Board, Polled Hereford Association, and Maeystown Baseball Club. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his children Ronald (Cathy) Rohlfing, Allyn (Trudi) Rohlfing, Wayne Rohlfing, and Gene (Amy) Rohlfing; grandchildren Justin (Cody) Rohlfing, Garrett (Elise) Rohlfing, Brooke Zingrich, Chris Rohlfing, Scott Rohlfing, Dan Rohlfing, Alex Rohlfing, Derek Hoffmann and Claire Hoffmann, great-grandchildren Trey Rohlfing, Sydnee Zingrich, Breck Rohlfing and Callie Rohlfing; nephew Robert Rohlfing Jr.; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lavern E. Rohlfing (nee Brandt), and brother Robert L. Rohlfing Sr.

Visitation was July 13, at Quernheim Funeral Home; and July 14, at  St. John United Church of Christ in Maeystown.

The funeral was July 14,  at the church, Pastor Patrick Poole officiating.

Interment followed at  St. John Cemetery, Maeystown.
