Adella D. Hahn | Obituary

Adella D. Hahn, nee Buzek, 89, of Red Bud, died July 25, 2014 in Waterloo.

She was born Sept. 5, 1924 in Inez, Texas, daughter of the late Phillip and Sophia Buzek, nee Koutney.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, past member of the American Legion RSVP Senior Circle, Babe volunteer at School Hospital Auxiliary, VA volunteer and Waterloo Sportsmans Club. Mrs. Hahn enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, bingo, embroidery, quilting and flower gardening.

Mrs. Hahn is survived by children Evelyn (Sam) Brown, Alice (Roy) Proctor, Shirley (Don) Kleyer, David (Carol) Hahn; daughter-in-law Pat Hahn; sisters Elsie Vanek and Mary Jedlicka; brother Victor (Frances) Buzek; along with grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George J. Hahn, son Robert Hahn, great-grandson Logan Proctor, sister Martha Rozeypal, brothers Rudolph, William and Louis Buzek.

Visitation took place July 28 and 29 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral service took place July 29 at the funeral home.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the Oak Hill Activities Fund.
