Accident at S. Main and Rt. 3 in Columbia

Columbia police, fire and EMS responded shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday to a two-car crash with injuries at Route 3 and South Main Street in Columbia. No road blockage was reported.

At least two persons were transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of injuries. One of the persons involved in the crash was a pregnant woman. Injuries were believed to have been minor in nature.

While the official accident report has not yet been released, Michelle Barnes of Waterloo said she was the pregnant woman transported along with her boyfriend and 4-year-old son. She posted on Facebook that they are all OK.
